My Take: Beautiful Underwear Should Be Worn Every Day, Not Reserved for Special Occasions

I've never understood the idea that your nicest underwear should be saved for a date or a Friday night. If anything, those are the pieces I want to wear most often. Whether it’s a nice new bra or some pretty underwear, the items we love are meant to be worn and enjoyed. 

Here are some of my favourite brands for beautiful pieces you’ll want to wear all throughout the week. 

Simone Pérèle 

If you also saw actress Ella Bright wearing Simone Pérèle while playing Hannah in Off Campus, you're probably just as obsessed as I am.

The first time I saw the Simone Pérèle Karma Demi Bra, I immediately thought it looked like the most romantic and flattering bra imaginable. 

My first thought was simply: what brand is this and where can I buy it?

Founded in Paris, Simone Pérèle revolutionised the lingerie industry by championing the belief that women shouldn't have to choose between comfort and beauty. The brand continues to focus on enhancing natural silhouettes rather than heavily altering them, creating pieces that feel both elegant and wearable.

The Karma Demi Bra is a beautiful white lace underwire balconette bra featuring intricate geometric embroidery, scalloped lace edging and a delicate keyhole detail at the centre. It offers structure and support while still feeling light, feminine and romantic.

Another detail I love is the straps. The bra features slender adjustable straps with delicate picot detailing, creating an elegant and refined look. Unlike bulkier bra straps, they're subtle enough to work beneath off-the-shoulder tops and wider necklines: rather than something you want to hide, they're the sort of detail that actually adds to an outfit when slightly visible.

Intimissimi

Everything from Intimissimi is beautiful, so it's difficult to pick just a few pieces when I would honestly recommend almost everything.

Intimissimi is one of those brands I always find myself coming back to because it makes everyday lingerie feel romantic without sacrificing comfort.

The Daniela Lace Balconette Bra and Denise Lace Balconette Bra are both elegant, classic, everyday bras that are also sexy and sophisticated while still being comfortable enough for everyday wear.

I also love the '80s-Style Lace and Cotton Brazilian Briefs that combine soft cotton with delicate lace detailing, proving that everyday underwear doesn't have to be plain. 

Agent Provocateur

The Carri Balconette Underwired Bra is minimalist yet seductive. Made from soft modal jersey, this balcony bra offers both luxury and support and has a delicate spotted lace trim.

It's the perfect example of a bra that feels sexy and sophisticated while still being comfortable enough to wear daily.

Agent Provocateur is known for creating luxurious and playful lingerie. Their shoes with "Seduce Me" written on the sole are now discontinued, but they were so iconic and memorable that my mum knew to keep her pair to then later show them to me.

Cou Cou Intimates

Cou Cou Intimates creates underwear that's uncomplicated, simple and beautiful.

The Thong is made from 100% organic cotton and features a low-rise silhouette that feels effortless and wearable. It's simple, flattering and endlessly comfortable. More importantly, it's the kind of underwear you don't mind if it's slightly visible above a pair of low-waisted jeans or trousers. 

Victoria's Secret

Victoria's Secret is another example of a brand that proves everyday underwear can still be beautiful and flattering. 

The Wink Black Double Strap Thong is simple but fun. The double side straps add a subtle detail, while still being comfortable enough to wear regularly. Available in black and other colours, it's playful, flattering and exactly the kind of piece that shows beautiful underwear doesn't need to be saved for special occasions.

Miu Miu

Miu Miu has a way of turning the most ordinary wardrobe basics into something people suddenly become obsessed with, and these Ribbed Knit Boxer Shorts are a perfect example.

At the Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2026 fashion show in Paris, Tyla wore ultra-low-rise baggy jeans showing a pair of Miu Miu boxers underneath. Pairing the exposed boxers with trousers worn extra low on the waist, a slouchy silhouette and heels, the look felt effortlessly cool and confident.
